Understanding the Windows Fonts Control Panel

- [Instructor] The Windows fonts folder is the place to put your fonts in order to make them available to your programs. Plus it has a great set of features for getting information on your fonts, previewing and printing them, and even seeing and copying any glyph in any font. So, let's check out the features of the Windows fonts folder, and the Control Panel. To go to my fonts Control Panel, I'll just search for fonts, and press enter. Right now I'm viewing my fonts with large icons, which gives me a preview of the look of each font. I can get bigger previews with extra large icons, or I can fit in the maximum number of fonts in one view, by using 'List'. Viewing as 'Details' shows me if a font has multiple styles in it. I can see Adobe Garamond Pro comes in regular, bold, italic, and bold italic. I can also tell that a font has multiple styles when its icon has multiple sheets. Like here in Adobe Garamond Pro.
