Understanding the Font Book interface

- [Instructor] In this chapter we'll examine Font Book, the font management tool that Apple supplies with macOS 10. It's not as full-featured as most third-party font management solutions but if you're just looking for a basic tool to preview and organize your fonts, and check that they're working properly, it just might do the job for you. Let's start by familiarizing ourselves with the controls and features in the Font Book user interface. So let's start by launching Font Book, which is in the Applications folder and the main Font Book window opens on my screen. On the left hand side over here we have Collections of fonts. Collections are just groups of fonts. They can be based on the location of fonts on your computer, or they can be based on how you intend to use the fonts like if they're for a specific project or client or you can create a Collection to house a certain kind of font like script fonts or sans serif fonts, etc. Really, it's up to you.
