Swiss style grids, part 2

- Last time, we worked with a tiny Swiss grid to make a small product label for face moisturizer for men, and what we saw is how the grid organizes your material and imposes a look that you can see, even when it's gone. Very structured, very orderly, very clean. If you want to do some reading on this, and I encourage that, check out Grid Systems in Graphic Design by Josef Muller-Brockmann. Like I said last time, it's a design school classic. Not the only treatment of the topic, but hits the basics really well. This time we're going to take it further to a full-size poster, with more material on it, and more kinds of material. It works exactly like last time, there's just more. Our poster is for a performance by the Ballantyne Ballet, called Scarlet, which is a retelling in dance of Nathaniel Hawthorne's classic story The Scarlet Letter. This is our raw material.
