Sideloading manually to an ereading device

- [Instructor] Before you can do manual quality assurance on your eBook, you'll need to load it into your devices. This process is referred to as sideloading. eReading devices like the Kindle typically have a different sideloading process than apps on the tablet, so that's what were going to talk about in this video. For the purposes of simplicity, this video will show you how to sideload a file into a Kindle eReader. However, the procedure for other eReaders is largely similar. First, you'll need to plug in your device to your computer. That can be done using the USB cable that came with the device. Once the eReader is plugged in, you should see it appear in your drives list like a flash drive. Open the drive in your file explorer and look for the appropriate folder. Often this is just a books folder or a documents folder. If you choose the wrong location, you can just try again in a different location later.
