- As you can tell, I have a tremendous affection for logo design and frankly, I can literally trace this fascination back through my childhood. Even then, sitting at my father's drafting table, I recall re-drawing his real estate and construction firm's logo. Way before it's time, it was a couple of single white interweaving skylines. Pretty brutally crafted, but fairly aspirational as I look back at it. Now, we're talking about a logo first drawn in the 50's. And that pretty much means it would forever be classic black ink on some pretty classic white paper. Brilliant. I reminisced about this logo as I looked through the logos we considered for this year's report. There were a couple of marks that just weren't too far off my dad's. But besides a little color, something else moved the born on date of these logos into our generation. Any clue what that was? Line breaks.
