- Okay, so now that I've photographed my box, I'll walk you through a few simple steps to clean up your pictures. You can see here, that the photograph is pretty well lit, and there's a lot of white around it. Now, if my exposure was wrong, my white background would look pretty gray, and I would have to do a lot of work to bring it back to white. We don't want that, so get your exposure right. There's still some gray around these edges, but that's something that I can fix pretty easily in retouching. Remember I was telling you to make sure your photos are in focus? Well, this one isn't. And that's intentional so I can show you how to fix it. What I'm going to do right here is duplicate my background layer. Then I'm going to go up to the filter menu and select sharpen, and unsharp mask. Now make sure that the preview box, you have a good view of some of the type that'll need to be sharpened. I like to bump it up around 82 in the amount of percentage, and for pixel radius, I generally…
