QA step 4: Images
- [Narrator] Every ebook has images. Even if only the cover image. And those images should be designed in ways to work well for ebook reading systems. Let's look at some recommendations, and some items that you can check in your QA process. The cover image should always include the title and the author name. And those should match the official title of the book on the title page, and in the books meta data. The cover image should also not include any print specific information. Such as, best seller status, number of copies in print, etc. The cover image should be displayed on the first HTML page to the book. It's a best practice to make the image scale to the screen height properly, without skewing the image. The cover image should also be defined in the OPF meta data section. Which will allow it to be shown to readers in their ebook library. Books without the cover image defined in the OPF, will usually show up in ebook shelves with generic covers generated by the reading system…
