Preparing your digital layouts to make your mockups
- Once your design and template are complete, it's time to double check a few things that can help make your printout the best it can be for your mockup. Now there are a lot of variables that come into play when preparing your layout, and a lot of it depends on the printer that you're using. Keep in mind that the whole point of making a 3D mockup is to get it to look as close to the final printed piece as possible. So if you're using things like Pantone or any kind of spot gloss, you'll want to do a few test prints to make sure your digital colors give the desired effect when they're printed. You'll need to make any necessary adjustments to the colors before printing the final file for your mockup. When color testing, be sure to use the same paper or substrate, that you'll be using on the final printout in order to match your colors.
