- Next, we're going to do an activity to help you pinpoint and personalize your career goals. First of all, I'd ask you to take out a piece of paper so you can write something down. And I'm going to give you a couple of questions that you're going to complete the sentences. First of all, I'll know I've arrived when dot, dot, dot. I want you to complete the sentence. I'll know I've arrived when dot, dot, dot. So what's the answer? It's different by individual, but there's lots of possibilities. You're response could be, you occupy the corner office at the trendy new boutique agency. Your work is featured in a major design publication. I'll know I've arrived when my compensation is at a level of x, over six figures, whatever. I'll know I've arrived when I own my own business. Or when you manage five people. Or when you work from home. What is it that you would say, "I've made it, I will have arrived when I've met this." Let me give you a second to just kind of adjust that a little bit…
