- Okay, let's talk about how to get prepared to make some cool 3D mockups. You'll need a clean work area, and just like in my 2D Presentation Materials and Mockups course, make sure your work area is big enough for you to spread out and make a mess. Be sure to have a large cutting mat to protect any table surface you're working on. This is my trusty blue cutting mat. You may have seen it make a cameo appearance in my previous courses. Make sure you have one of these, or you may end up destroying the surface you're working on. Now, some of the tools you're going to need are pretty simple, and they can be found at any art store or online. And you may already have most of them, but here's what you'll need. You need a flat burnisher, like this blue one. It's great for pressure bonding sticky parts together. You need a small ball tip burnisher, like this one.
