This video provides a step-by-step process showing a cylindrical mockup.
- So now that you're happy we're only…working with a simple cylinder structure,…let's make this mockup.…Here I have my print out of my design…on the template that I created.…You can see I have left space around…the edges for the bleed, and here I have…my crop marks where I want to align my ruler.…So, let's cut this out.…Take my straightedge,…going to line up my crop marks,…and carefully, using your blade,…press firmly but move slow to cut from one edge…through the other side of the bleed.…
And just continue that on all four sides…as we go around.…If you get sloppy and you start to move…outside your crop marks, that becomes a problem…when you want to wrap around the cylinder itself.…There we go.…Once I have this cut out, I'm ready to…apply it to the spice jar.…So, here's where watching my 2D presentation…course about mockups will come in handy.…Because if you've watched that one,…you'll already know all about different…types of adhesives.…
Basically to Spray Mount, or not to Spray Mount…that is the question.…And my answer is, the Xyron machine…
