Making a beauty product box mockup

- The first box we're going to mock up today is this beauty product box. It's relatively simple in its construction. I thought this would be a nice one to start with. Now this one is one of those products where a printer made the template to fit the product that it holds. See, as you open it up the product fits snugly inside here. The graphics on this box are designed relatively simply. And, as in all examples I'm showing you in this course it was designed at my studio Meat and Potatoes. And here I have a print out on a nice heavyweight uncoated paper that I printed on an Epson inkjet. I like how it absorbs the ink just enough so that it looks close to what the finished product was. It'll make a great mock up. Now to start, I'm going to use this ball tip burnisher to create my fold scores. Now a score is an area where the paper needs to have an indentation that allows it to fold easier without tearing. It's important to start with this step first, because once the perimeter of the…
