- [Narrator] Every e-book retailer has its own unique e-book requirements and recommendations. As you probably know, each e-book retailer is trying to stand out from the crowd with its own features, so sometimes the specific requirements of one retailer will not match the requirements of others. For example, while most retailers have some level of support for embedded video and audio files, the actual file format supported by the different retailers is inconsistent, and sometimes conflicting. In addition, these retailer requirements may change over time, so it is important that you keep up to date with the latest specs the retailers publish, and always remember that what worked yesterday may be changed tomorrow. In the following videos, I'd like to give you some information about how each e-book retailer manages its specs and recommendations, and also cover some basic recommendations and highlights for each one.
