- Hi everyone, John McWade. I have people say to me all the time, "I wish I could just watch you work." So that's what I'd like to share with you in this movie. I'm making a simple card for the Owatonna Science Center and let me just take you through a few of my decision points. What I'm going to do is create one card that's part of a series for the Owatonna Science Center. This is the material I have to work with, these two photos, copy, and the Owatonna Science Center title, of which we need to make into a kind of titling placard at the top of each of these cards. So we'll start by creating a black band along the top and setting Owatonna Science Center. This is set in a type case called Trajan Sans. This is a very close cousin to the famous typeface, Trajan, and it's a very, very good titling typeface. To make it a little more formal, I want to spread it out all the way across that card.
