- When your scheduling is just not working, one possibility might be that you need to add to your team. Let's do a little self test to see if that's the case. Do you have a clear understanding of whether or not you give your projects the appropriate amount of time? Are you scheduling projects too tightly or allowing them to go too long? There's a sweet spot for both work hours and profitability. If your answer is "I'm not sure", then we need to tackle that problem first. Knowing how many hours you can handle per week varies depending on the type of projects you have and your team's skill levels. But, traditionally, a full-time creative has approximately 30 billable hours in a 40-hour work week. That should be a baseline for scheduling a project's length and determining what your capacity is.
