- [Instructor] Hi there, in this week's type tip, I'm going to show you a work-around for creating warped type in Illustrator. This will also work in Photoshop, where we have the same warping tools. I picked up this tip from Von Glitschka, and I highly recommend you check out his courses in the online training library. So this is the effect I want to achieve, warping my type around a sphere, but maintaining it as flat at the top. There are a number of features that we can use that will almost achieve this. On my second artboard, I've chosen not to warp the type, but to use the Type on a Path Tool. So I'm actually putting the type around this shape. And then when I use this Type on a Path option, Skew, it maintains the verticals on the type. That's what I want, but you can see that the type is being curved at the top, and that's what I don't want.
