- As I mentioned earlier, general studio SOPs refer to overarching operational practices that keep the team efficiently moving along by ensuring all team members are engaging in the same activities in the same way. General studio SOPs include file-naming conventions, archiving protocols, digital asset management, content management and version control, time entry, and out-of-office and accessibility guidelines. To make this quick and easy, I'm going to provide brief definitions and examples of each. A file-naming convention is a framework for naming your files in a way that describes what they contain and how they relate to other files. They are critical in driving accurate hand-offs and version control, ensuring that the right people are working on or viewing the right files at the right time.
