Creating your own QA checklists
- [Instructor] Now that you know the basics, it's time for you to make your own QA checklists. Why you might ask? Well your publishing program is unique. The process you use to create EPUB files, or the process used by your outsource vendor, are going to have specific elements and issues that are unique to you and your content. Your book designs are unique, and how those designs translate into eBooks will also be unique. So you can, and should, start off with a template checklist. And I've included a link to a starter checklist in my resources document. However, your own customized checklist should take other issues into account. For example, you might have different checklists for the different kinds of books you publish. If you publish both fiction and non-fiction the checklist you have for each of them may be slightly different. If you have fixed layout eBooks, iBooks, author multi-touch eBooks, or comic books, then I recommend you have separate or add on lists to follow for those…
