Creating a workbench of assets
- [Narrator] Since each component of your campaign will use the same visual language, there's a strong possibility that projects will have similar icons. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, it will help maintain that visual consistency you're looking for while also providing viewers with visual cues to recall throughout the campaign. Augmenting your style guide with a workbench of designated assets before launching into individual projects will help you maximize your campaign goals in two ways. It will put your style guide into practice and improve design efficiency. When we began our campaign with the NEA, we developed a workbench of 100 custom images that we knew we could reuse across multiple projects. This not only provided much needed efficiencies for us, but it also allowed us to develop more projects for a lower cost.
