- As we draw down to the end of our trends, I suspect it's only right that we're still discussing the inventive nature of designers. I will give you credit as an industrious and a competitive sort. Blame me if you will but I've, over the last several years, been relatively convinced there's just not much more to be done with the mono line aesthetic that's not already been hashed through pretty well. That's when you take those comments as a challenge and prove me wrong. Good for you! One of the vestiges of the line that is receiving more and more attention is the surface of the line itself. I assume this was one of the last iterations to surface since frankly there's just not that much surface on a line. Our line weight may have fattied up just a bit. But before we address the color split trend I'd like to start with two other variants we noted in this report.
