The Content-Aware Fill taskspace includes a handful of Fill Settings options that allow you to control the automated contents of a select region of an image. The first of these options is Color Adaptation. Unlike the Fill dialog box, which offers a single Color Adaptation check box, the Content-Aware taskspace offers four Color Adaptation settings: None, Default, High, and Very High, which are designed to accommodate subtle transitions, such as a gradient of colors in a sky.
- [Instructor] Over the course of the next few movies,…we'll talk about the various fill settings…that are available inside the Content Aware Fill Taskspace.…And these are settings that define…how Photoshop fills the selected region…of the image.…Now I hasten to mention that I'm working…in a late pre-release version of the software.…And you should know that Content Aware Fill…ultimately produces random effects,…so your results and mine may vary.…But at least you will have a sense…for how these various features are supposed to work.…And so, here we are looking at a very misty image…with this natural gradient in the background.…
We want to match that gradient using Color Adaptation.…And so, I'm gonna start by pressing the Backspace key,…or the Delete key on the Mac, to get rid of that URL.…And then, armed with my Rectangular Marquee Tool,…which you can get by pressing the M key.…I'll go ahead and zoom out here a little bit.…And, I'll select this general region right here.…And so, notice that my selection is about as tall…
