- [Instructor] Let's spend a minute now, and let's actually look at another incredibly important part of leading creative teams, and that's commitment. Because your team is always going to look to you for leadership, for comfort, and for confidence. One of my mentors always described a great creative director or a great creative leader as part lighthouse, part punching bag, part lightning bolt. I don't know that I ever really found a better analogy than that, but it's summing that your commitment to the team is going to have to be unwavering, and it's going to have to be incredibly strong. In one of the things that I think most leaders don't necessarily realize is that whenever you get put into this position, you no longer get the luxury of bad days because whenever they're looking to you, whenever they're looking to you for answers, whenever something goes wrong, well they don't want somebody who's just going to sit there and go to pieces.
