- [Instructor] Welcome to Type Tips. My name is Nigel French, and in this episode I have a quick baseline grid tip for you. So I have my text, aligned to a baseline grid as indicated by the gray rules, and then I have this caption paragraph over here on the right. And I want this caption paragraph to be in sync with my body text and currently it's not. So, I'll start by aligning this to the baseline grid. And to do that I'll come to my paragraph format of controls and align to the baseline grid. That solves one problem, but creates another, because the baseline grid increment is 20 points, and that's too large for a paragraph of this type size. So, we have another option, and that option is rather than align all of the lines to the baseline grid, we can align just the first line. I'll come to my Control Panel menu and down to Only Align First Line to Grid. And you'll see that the first baseline is in sync with the first baseline of the body text to its left, and thereafter the letting…
