Join Jess Stratton for an in-depth discussion in this video Making a phone-to-phone domestic call, part of Google Voice Essential Training (2015).
It's easy to make free calls between…United States and Canada.…From your Google Voice inbox,…click the red call button on the…top left hand side.…Then, simply put in the number that you…want to call complete with area code.…Once the number's in place,…select which phone you want to call with.…You'll see your phones that you've added…to Google Voice listed here.…When you choose a phone,…Google Voice will call that phone.…When you answer it,…it will then connect you with the…number that you're calling.…
There's a few things to note.…The first one is this call will still use…your available mobile minutes that are…allotted to you by your provider…if you choose your mobile phone.…It's also important to note that Google Voice dials…a US based access number to make outgoing calls.…It's going to use your carrier's plan…for that phone call to the access number.…If it calls a long distance access number…you could incur charges from your carrier…if that's not according to your plan.…Choose a number and then click the connect button.…
Then find out how to configure Voice's rules to ring all your phones, filter calls straight to voicemail, have voicemails delivered via email or text, and more. The course also explores recording inbound calls, using Voice on mobile phones, and making international calls, video calls, computer-to-computer calls, and more.
