Using conditional formatting

- The conditional formatting tool allows you to automatically apply text formatting, or change the background color of one or more cells based on the value of that cell. To add conditional formatting, set up a rule that would change the formatting of each cell that meets certain conditions. Let's walk through the process of creating a conditional formatting rule, and look at how it works. I'll show you on this sales data spreadsheet. This file is called conditional formatting, in the exercise files' chapter five folder. The first thing I want to see here, is I would like to highlight any cells where my stock might be running low. I'd like to color the cell orange for any item on the list where the percent of stock items sold is greater than 90%. Then I'll know where I need to restock.
