- [Instructor] Worksheets summarize all kinds of data, often using formulas to calculate results. Most often, you will display the results of those calculations rather than the formulas that produce them. In this movie, I'll show you how to display a worksheets formulas so you can determine why you see the results you do. This workbook contains a series of formulas that calculate the growth of an investment over a series of years assuming a growth rate of 7%. If I click cell B3, I can see the formula for that cell. It takes the value in B2, which is the original investment of $145,000.00 and multiplies it by one plus the growth rate in B1, which is 7%. I want the cell for a new year to refer to the previous years' result. Therefore, and I'll double click in cell B3 to make the formula a little bit larger, I've allowed the reference to cell B2 to change as I copy the formula down, but because the growth rate doesn't change, the reference to B1 is absolute so it won't change even when…
