- [Instructor] Copying formulas can result in unexpected changes, especially if they reference cells on other worksheets or in other workbooks. In this movie, I will show you how to copy cell formulas and paste the results. That way, you get the current state of the workbook and don't have to worry about formula errors introduced by copying and pasting. On the left side of this worksheet, I have a set of investment results, so we have an annual growth rate of 7%, the original investment of $145,000, and the growth of that investment for the years 2017 through 2025. If I click any of the cells in the range from B3 to B11, you see that I have a formula that multiplies the cell immediately above the current cell by one plus the growth rate. So, if we're growing by 7%, we need to multiply the previous year's value by 107%. If I were to copy the values from B3 to B11 by selecting the cells and then pressing Ctrl + C, and then pasting them into the range with E3 selected, then I would get a…
