Find the frequency of occurrences within an array

- [Instructor] One great way to summarize data is to count how many values fall into a series of ranges or bins. In this movie, I'll show you how to save a lot of work creating count if formulas to summarize your data by using the frequency function. In this worksheet, I have a series of weights for items that I measured in my warehouse, and those are in cells A4 through A13. So I have 10 values. I'm interested, based on shipping cost, how many of the items are 30 pounds or less, between 30 and 45, between 45 and 60, and then greater than 60. The frequency function will calculate those numbers for me. So I'll go over to cell E5, type an equal sign, and the function is frequency, F-R-E-Q, and then frequency. Now all I need to do is to enter in the ranges for my data and the classes, what I'm calling bins here. So I'll go to cell A4 and select A4 through A13, then a comma, and I see that my count is 10 values. That's showing up in the tooltip above the function is showing me a partial…
