Find the end date and end of month
- (Narrator) Many projects are spread out over several months with due dates either on a specific day or at the end of the month. In this movie I'll show you how to find a date, or the end of the month, one or more months before, or after a specific date. In this workbook I have a single worksheet, and on it I have a set of start dates in column A, and then a number of months. You'll see that I have some months that are positive, and some that are negative. A positive number means that we look into the future. So going from September 14 2017, we want to look forward one month, and then for a minus number, a negative number, such as minus two, which is next to October 28th of 2017, we want to look two months prior. To calculate the end date, I'll click in cell C2, and then type an equal sign to start the formula. The functional use is EDATE, which stands for "end date," and that tells us the date the number of months before or after another date. So I'll click that to start the formula…
