- [Instructor] In this course, I have shown you a lot of ways to sort and filter the data in a pivot table. In this movie I'd like to show you one last way which is by showing and hiding detail. My sample file is 02_06 ShowHide which you can find in the chapter two folder of the exercise files collection. This workbook contains two worksheets and we're looking at pivot table two which contains the pivot table. I want to make a note about the structure of the pivot table and that is that we have two fields in the rows area. So rows are organized first by year and then by MonthSort which is a month field that I created so I could sort those months into chronological order. Because I have multiple levels in the rows area, you'll see that I have a square with a minus sign next to 2016 and 2017. Those are show and hide detail controls and they are currently configured for hide detail, that's why the minus sign is there. You click the minus sign and you get less detail. If I click the hide…
