- [Instructor] When you analyze business data, many times you will want to find the total, or average, or account of all values. There will also be times when you only want to find the sum average or count of values to meet one or more criteria. In this movie, I will show you how to find the sum average and count of different values based on one of more criteria. I have a short data set that finds the yearly revenue for four different property cities. In other words, I assume that I have a hotel or another property within the city and I have the revenue for each of them for a given year. Let's say that I want to find only the sum of all revenue for my Portland hotels. To do that, I can use SUMIF. So in cell F2, which I've already selected, I'll type a equal sign, and again the function is SUMIF followed by a left parenthesis. The first argument is the range and that is the range that I am going to be pairing against the criterion. So that range would be my cities, that would be B2…
