- [Instructor] When you live in the United States but do business with other countries, you spend a lot of time converting between imperial measures such as yards and pounds, to the metric system of meters and kilograms. In this movie I'll show you how to translate values from one system to another using the convert function. I have a series of values here and what I want to do is convert between two systems. So I have miles going to kilometers, then grams to ounces, and then I'll do two temperature changes Fahrenheit to Celsius and also to Kelvin. I'll start in cell B two, converting miles to kilometers I have 15 miles. So I'll type an equal sign in cell B two and then use the convert function followed my left parenthesis so I have my value, my start unit, and my end unit. The value is easy, that's in cell A two, so I'll click that, then a comma, now I need to know the start unit and the end unit. And if I look at the example it looks like converting grams to kilograms would use the…
