- [Instructor] Many requests for payment or requests for proposal indicate that you have a specific number of days to send in your submission. In this movie, I'll show you how to identify the workday or date that represents the number of workdays after another date. This workbook contains a single worksheet, and on it, I have the start date, and again, this could be your request for proposal or for payment, and then the number of workdays after which the submission or payment is due. Our goal is to calculate the due date based on the start date and the number of workdays later. There are two ways to calculate the due date. The first is the U.S. standard where we have a list of federal holidays and assume Saturday and Sunday are our weekend days. We can also use the international method, which allows us to specific any weekend days that we want. We'll start with the U.S. standard, which is a simpler case.
