Send emails from Cloud Functions
- [Instructor] Now that we've got that function set up, there are some changes we need to make to the Gmail account that we created at the beginning of this course in order for it to allow our cloud function to send emails through it. So log into the Gmail account you created, and we're going to need to click on your profile picture in the top right here and click on Manage your Google Account. And then over here on the right, we're going to click on Security, and then you should be able to scroll down and find a section that says something about less secure apps. What we're going to do for our application is turn this setting on, and this will give you a scary message, but that's what we want for now in order for our cloud functions to be able to send messages through our email, at least for development purposes.
