- [Instructor] The next category of services available…on Google Cloud or GCP have to do with information.…And there's really two sections.…There's basic files and data.…So in this section we're going to call it storage.…And the services are around storing files,…both hot, or frequently accessed files,…and also cold, or archival file storage.…In addition to that, there's the ability…to store persistent disks for virtual machines,…which is a type of hot file storage,…but because the access is done differently,…it's broken up as a separate category.…
So files, archival storage,…and persistent disks are in this category.…Now moving to data, it's kind of interesting on GCP…why I've written this hierarchy in this order.…Although the majority of the world still puts their data…in relational databases, or RDBMS systems,…at Google, relational databases…are actually used in a secondary manner,…because they have been traditionally difficult…to scale to the levels of data…that Google works with indexing the entire web.…So the first set of products around data…
