- [Instructor] Setting up Ecommerce tracking and assigning event value is a little more complicated than normal tracking. Don't worry, we'll walk through it together. So the simplest way to do this is just to add an event value to a normal event. So for example, when you're sending the event code, alongside the event category, event action, event label, you can also add event value. This could just be a number, like for example, an integer here, number 42. Assigning a value is going to open up a lot of information in Google Analytics. You're going to be able to optimize to ROI instead of just cost per acquisition. This works fine for most people, but if you're an Ecommerce store, you might want to go a little more advanced with the Ecommerce set up. This is Google's Ecommerce measurement protocol.
