Setting up goals to track specific KPIs

- [Instructor] Goals are a very important concept in Google Analytics. Without defining your goal, most of the available reports just won't be useful. To see an example, let's go to Source Medium. If we go to Acquisition, or Traffic, and then Source Medium, we'll get the report. Now if you see here, this is the Performance by Channel. It's a very useful report for marketers. We can see by channel how much traffic we had, how many new users, the bounce rate, and then you can see 1/3 of this whole section is goals. If we don't have goals set up, this section won't populate. We can also select which goal we're looking at and change to the report. So how do we set up goals? Let's go over here to Admin. Under Admin we need to go under Account, Property, View, and then Goals. Here are the goals we've got set up already. Let's click into an individual goal, so we can see the setup.
