- [Instructor] When you want to track more actions on your website how do you set that up? Let's walk through an example of how to tell Google Analytics an event occurred. This is the website we're going to track, The Ladder Playbook. It's a list of different marketing tactics that you can use to grow your company. What we want to track is people who enter their email and then click Talk to a Strategist. So here's the event code. This is what tells Google Analytics that something happened. Don't worry if you don't know how to code, this is really just to show you an example so you can explain confidently to your developers how this should work. So the first part of this just said Send and then Hit Type, Event. Then the part that you customize are these three lines right here. So, Event Category. We've called this Lead.
