Create a backup view

- [Instructor] One thing to consider with Google Analytics is that once data is logged there's no good way to un-log it, and vice versa. With filtering out spammy languages, if you accidentally filter out valid data there's no way to add it back in; it's effectively lost. That's why we want to make a backup view. A backup is one of those things that you hope you never have to use but you create one just in case. Let's go ahead and do that. In my Google Analytics account I'm going to select an account, and then a property, and then a view. You'll probably only have one of these and that's fine. We'll click on the view, and then we'll go to Admin, and under the drop down I'll click Create New View. I'm a fan of obvious names so I'm gonna call it Unfiltered. Set your time zone and then click Create View. Now we have a completely unfiltered backup view just in case we do something wrong.
