When out shooting for hours on end, it's recommended to carry an external power source that juices up your battery without a power socket. In this video tutorial, you'll learn all about the different types of power packs and how to use external power on your GoPro HERO to charge your batteries on-the-go.
…Now, having extra batteries is a good idea.…But sometimes, I want a lot of power.…Or the ability to charge right in my pocket,…without having to run around looking for an electrical outlet.…And the good news is, is that there's a plethora of cell phone external…batteries out there that are super cheap to get, or designed for iPad users.…Just a easy way to plug in a USB plug and charge things up.…So, you know, let's go ahead and put this battery…back in the camera for a second.…Just line that up and drop it in, and close that up.…
And then back on the side here, we'll reveal…the USB ports, and take our standard USB cable.…Now, you can get a USB cable of any length that's going to make this easier for you.…If I'm shooting time lapse, I might use a longer cable and then tether…to the battery so the GoPro could run for days without running out of juice.…Or perhaps, I just want to keep this in my jacket pocket.…So while we're on a ski lift riding…up to go boarding, we can go ahead and take the…camera out, plug it in to charge it up a little bit.…
