If you are working on multiple editing systems or need to hand your GoPro footage off to someone else, you need to make sure that the other computer has the CineForm codec installed. In this video, author Richard Harrington demonstrates how to download and install the GoPro CineForm codec to a computer.
- If you're working with another editing system…or you need to hand the footage off to someone else,…remember a few things.…The GoPro CineForm codec is widely available.…If you're gonna be working with someone…who's using Adobe Premiere Pro,…then they've already got the support built in.…But if you're working with other systems…like Final Cut 10,…or Avid Media Composer,…all the person needs to do…is download and install GoPro Studio.…Simply send the person to gopro.com…and have them click on apps.…
Click on Quik Desktop.…You'll see the ability to learn more.…From here, simply choose to download.…Now it should detect if they're on Mac or Windows.…When they click,…the corresponding download should come down.…While this will install some extra software,…mainly GoPro Studio and GoPro Quik,…it also puts the codec into their system.…Have the person open the disk image,…and simply launch the installer.…From here,…they'll have to go through and look at the license,…as well as the destination…and the installation type.…
You can choose to change the location…
