- Editing video can be a bit resource consuming. What I mean by that, is that the files tend to be fairly processor-intensive. And when you edit, GoPro Studio or other applications might decide to transfer the burden. You see, when you go to edit the files using the more highly-compressed H.264 media, that format is gonna be really heavy on the computer's processor. On the other hand, GoPro will tend to optimize the media using things like the GoPro CineForm codec, which is gonna transfer the burden over to the hard drive, so you might notice some issues with drive speed. Let's start there. You'll see, what I have here are a few different types of drives, as well as connection types. And let's sort of rank these. Now, if we go from top to bottom, what we're seeing is a very common type of drive.
