- If you're using an older model GoPro camera, you'll find a course similar to this one available in the online library that covers the version 3 camera. Make sure you check that out. There's also extensive coverage of GoPro accessories and tools in the series called Video Gear Weekly, which I cohost with Robbie Carman. This will help you take a look at all different sorts of tools and technologies that will help you extend your GoPro camera. Now, when you're ready to dig into specific projects, be sure to check out some of the workflow courses in the library. These include Prepping GoPro Footage for Editing.
Here, we cover how to get the GoPro footage off your camera, edit it, and export it for sharing or use with other video editing programs. And we'll do this using GoPro Studio, the free editing app that's downloadable off of GoPro's website. If you'd like to edit GoPro footage and stills with Adobe software, then be sure to watch Editing GoPro HERO Photos and Videos with Lightroom and Photoshop. This class examines enhancement techniques to improve color and contrast, adjust exposure, remove artifacts and lens distortion, as well as make time-lapse videos and more.
If you want some fresh ideas on shooting footage, we have three other classes that can also come in handy. Creative GoPro Photography and Video Techniques will offer a creative cookbook of ways to use the GoPro HERO camera to capture stills, video, and time-lapse movies. Paul Taggart will show you how he works in a variety of conditions. You can also check out Shooting with the GoPro HERO: Car and Motorcycle Mounts, to learn how to capture footage on the open road. This will show you how to grab dramatic video and photos with your GoPro HERO camera by mounting it to a car, motorcycle, or bicycle.
And there's also a course called, Shooting with the GoPro HERO: Action Sports. Here, we'll cover how to record interviews and action footage with athletes. Plus, we'll make sure to cover strategies to protect the camera and make sure that we avoid damaging it or your shooting subject. Now, before you go and watch all these great project-based classes, be sure to watch this Essentials class. You need to know how to set up, control, and operate your camera. That's what this course is all about, so let's jump in.
