The ampersand

- [Instructor] Our final form will be the ampersand, a combination of the capital E and lowercase T. Latin for and, it's evolved over the centuries into many forms. We're going to construct this one. Begin by copying the three and flipping it vertically. Let's correct the path directions. Command, shift, R. And then let's take these two points on the upper vertical and align them with the x-height. Let's take these on the horizontal and first align them then exceed the vertical by 50 units. Then let's take this bottom portion, move it up to the x-height and then drop it down by 100 units. And lastly, let's grab the entire center portion and just drop it down by 20 units. We'll set the left side bearing to H and the right side bearing to match the cap T. And that's it. Of course, you're welcome to make whatever style of ampersand you want.
