- [Instructor] Since you're all ready in the mindset and you know the technique. It's time to take on the punctuation starting with the period. So we'll do the same thing we did with the cap O. Select all, scale horizontally by five, rotate 15, slant 15, then rotate back. And the last thing we want to do here is set the side bearings to 95% of 50. So let's set them to 50 to start. And let's do the calculation right here. So multiply by .95, that's 48. We'll copy that over to here. And were set. And with the period you get the centered period, so we'll update the metrics control, option, command, and we get the colon. So to align the colon what I do is align the bottom period to the left edge. Do the same thing up above. And the control, option, command m to set the side bearings. Now the periods used in the exclamation point, so what we need to do is reshape the top and we'll horizontally scale by 5% and then slant by 15. And here again I usually move the period over to the margin so…
