- [Instructor] Menus in Glyphs are mercifully few and fairly logically organized. Most will be familiar to any software user. So for instance, the Glyphs title menu at the left, as with nearly every program, houses Preferences, and the File menu contains the usual also. New, Open, Close, Import, Export. And no surprises in Edit either. So enough about what's usual, what's unusual? Well, the Glyph menu. The Glyph menu is where you add characters to your font, and where you delete them or duplicate them, and it's also where you combine multiple glyphs into new ones via components. A font file is made up of glyphs, and glyphs are made up of paths. And the Paths menu contains commands that operate on the shapes that make up glyphs. The Filters menu is similar to the Effects menu in Illustrator. It's sparsely populated, but it has some cool features like Roughen, and Round Corners, that you're doubtless going to want to experiment with. The View and Window menus control what you see in…
