- [Instructor] Both the v and the w in the lowercase can be made by reducing the capital forms disproportionately, vertically to the x height and horizontally by 95%. So, let's go into the edit window and, while we're here, let's just drop in the u as a component of the lowercase n so Shift + Command + C. Choose n and we'll flip it twice and then we're going to type the cap V. Select all. Copy and paste and then here's what I mean by disproportionately. Going to grab it from the top. Move it down to the x height and then we'll reduce the width overall by 5%. So, 95% of the width and, finally, set the side bearings to five. If we set them to zero, which would be the ultimate minimum, the two v's next to one another would overlap or they would at least touch. By putting in just a sliver of space, we can keep them separated. Let's do the same thing for the cap W to the lowercase w. Copy, paste, reduce the height and reduce the width.
