- [Charles] Welcome to this course about designing type using Glyphs App. My name is Charles Nix. For those who are relatively new to type design, I've included a brief introduction to the topic. I followed that with an overview of the Glyphs App workspace. There's a section on drawing letters and a section on creating character sets. In the chapter on programming open type features, we teach our fonts to behave cleverly without ever writing a line of code. In fitting and kerning, we make sure our glyphs play well together by looking after the space around them, and once we've made our font, we make it better through exporting and testing.
Finally, we look into making type families with Glyphs App using multiple masters, so lets get started
