General typographic resources
- The more you know about typography and designing type, the more you'll want to know. Books and libraries are your friends and not just your local library, if you travel, be sure to find out what typographic treasures are held in libraries at your destination. To get your library search started, I've included a list of 100 books about typography in the assets for this course. There are also museums and archives of printing and typography that are destinations unto themselves. The Gutenberg museum in Mainz, for instance, is a natural pilgrimage site for typographers, and there are dozens more dotting the globe, I've included a short list in the assets also, and you should join the larger typographic community, sooner rather than later. You'll find typographers to be a welcoming bunch, and very willing to share their insights with new designers.
