- [Instructor] This course guides you through the construction of a very popular type style, a Condensed Gothic sans serif. It will give you the basic tools for constructing your own font using Glyphs App, the premiere software for designing type. The course begins with a short bit of background about sans serifs, and then more specifically the Condensed Gothic style. Then the construction begins. We'll create some basic components, and then bit by bit assemble the entire font. We'll space and kern to make our font look its best, and then discuss strategies for making your font unique. And finally, I'll conclude with advice and resources for further exploration of the Gothic form.
